Gem Sports is committed to offering competitive prices on genuine racquet sports products sold by authorised Australian retailers.

Price matching is subject to the following terms and conditions.

1. Eligible Competitors

The competitor must be:

• An Australian-based business;
• An authorised Australian retailer or dealer for the relevant brand;
• Selling genuine, brand-new products through an established retail store or Australian website; and
• Able to supply the product at the time the price match is requested.

We do not price match:

• Overseas or international retailers;
• Marketplace sellers, including eBay, Amazon Marketplace, Facebook Marketplace or similar platforms;
• Private sellers;
• Unauthorised dealers;
• Auction listings; or
• Prices that appear to be an error or are not publicly available.

2. Identical Product Requirement

The competitor’s product must be identical to the Gem Sports product, including where applicable:

• Brand;
• Model and model year;
• Colour;
• Weight;
• Grip size;
• Shoe or clothing size;
• Product specification;
• Included accessories;
• Condition; and
• Warranty coverage.

The product must be brand new and currently in stock with both the competitor and Gem Sports.

Similar products, previous-generation models, display products, demo products, used products or products with different specifications are not eligible.

3. Final Price Comparison

Gem Sports compares the competitor’s final total price required for the customer to obtain the product.

The comparison may include:

• The competitor’s advertised product price;
• Mandatory shipping or delivery charges;
• Compulsory service fees;
• Other unavoidable charges; and
• Any publicly available discount that can be applied without special eligibility.

If the competitor offers a genuine free click-and-collect option for the same in-stock product, we may compare against the competitor’s collection price.

If the competitor does not offer free collection, is online-only, or requires the product to be shipped, the competitor’s applicable shipping charge will be included in the price comparison.

The customer choosing to collect the product from Gem Sports does not remove a mandatory shipping cost that would have been payable when purchasing from the competitor.

4. Discounts and Promotions

Price-matched products cannot be combined with:

• Gem Sports discount codes;
• Automatic cart discounts;
• Loyalty rewards;
• Gift-with-purchase promotions;
• Member discounts;
• Bundle discounts;
• Club or partnership discounts; or
• Any other promotional offer, unless expressly approved by Gem Sports.

We generally do not match prices that require:

• Paid membership;
• Personalised or single-use discount codes;
• Employee discounts;
• Student discounts;
• Loyalty points;
• Store credit;
• Cashback;
• Trade pricing; or
• Conditional purchases.

5. Clearance and Limited Promotions

Gem Sports may decline to match:

• Clearance or final-sale prices;
• Closing-down sales;
• Liquidation sales;
• Flash sales;
• Limited-quantity promotions;
• Pre-order offers;
• Package or bundle prices;
• Free-item promotions;
• Pricing based on trade-ins; or
• Offers that are no longer available at the time of verification.

EOFY, Black Friday and other public promotional prices may be considered if all other requirements are met and the item remains available for immediate purchase.

6. Stringing and Additional Services

A racquet price match applies to the racquet unless stringing or another service is specifically included in the competitor’s offer.

To consider matching a stringing package, the competitor must clearly show:

• The same string model;
• The same stringing tension or service specification;
• The complete service price; and
• Availability of the service with the matched racquet.

Gem Sports may quote stringing and other services separately.

7. How to Request a Price Match

Price-match requests should be made before placing an order.

Please send us:

• A direct link to the competitor’s product page;
• A screenshot of the competitor’s cart where required;
• The exact model, colour, specification and size;
• Your preferred pickup or delivery method; and
• Any stringing requirements.

Screenshots alone may not be sufficient if we cannot independently verify the offer.

Once the request has been verified, Gem Sports will confirm the matched price and provide a secure payment link.

8. Availability and Payment

A price match is not confirmed until:

• Gem Sports has reviewed and approved the request;
• The matched product remains available;
• The customer has completed payment; and
• Gem Sports has issued an order confirmation.

Stock is not reserved while a price-match request is being assessed unless expressly confirmed.

Approved prices may only remain valid while the competitor’s offer and stock remain available.

9. Previous Purchases

Price-match requests should be submitted before purchase.

Gem Sports is not required to retrospectively match a price after an order has been placed or completed. Any post-purchase adjustment is at Gem Sports’ discretion.

10. Returns, Faults and Consumer Rights

Price-matched products remain subject to Gem Sports’ applicable return and exchange policies.

Nothing in this Price Match Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Assessment of Requests

Gem Sports may decline a request that does not meet this policy or where the competitor’s offer cannot be independently verified.

We may request further information before approving a price match.

Any approved exception applies only to that individual transaction and does not change this policy for future purchases.
